English is a core value in Kristin to enure literacty and critical thinking in our youth.
The English faculty is based in the classrooms around the Octogen area of the middle and senior
schools.. English also has classroom space in the classrooms behind the Lightbox Multi-sport facility.
The faculty is led by Mr Cameron Lacey and provides both IB and NCEA courses at senior level and
compulsory english classes for the Middle years program. The faculty also offers media studies as a
senior NCEA option
In the Middle years the students are required to complete a English course. In the senior school the
students are able to select whether they wish to continue with their studies in English and which
pathway, NCEA or IB, that they follow.
